Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group has partnered with a premier domestic and international freight forwarder headquartered in the U.S., dedicated to engineering logistics and warehousing solutions. They are hiring Call Center Specialists for their office in the Richmond area. These positions are fully onsite and pay is $18.00/hr. This is a Friday-Monday opportunity and the hours are 8:00am-6:30pm. Please apply today.

Responsibilities:
  • Shipment Tracking & Monitoring: Track, trace, and monitor freight shipments proactively, ensuring real-time status updates and comprehensive documentation.

  • Logistics Administration: Execute clerical and data-entry processes to support daily transportation, billing, and collections workflows.

  • Vendor Communication: Monitor multiple communication channels—including web portals, faxes, and voicemails—to capture and process timely service provider updates.

  • Data Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date data for specific customers, markets, products, and operational processes.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Assist and support coordinators, supervisors, and managers with various operational and business needs.

  • Risk Management: Escalate potential logistics issues or shipment delays immediately to coordinators or supervisors to prevent service failures.

  • Auditing & Billing Accuracy: Verify service provider charges and maintain a strong understanding of special/accessorial fees to ensure all costs are accurate and complete.

  • Operational Support: Perform miscellaneous administrative functions to support sales efforts, contract management, operations, and billing.

  • Compliance & Security: Adhere strictly to company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures while promoting organizational core values.


Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Proficient in MS Office, internet applications, and proprietary software.

  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and project management skills.

  • Collaborative mindset with excellent listening and relationship-building skills.

  • High emotional intelligence and resilience in fast-paced or stressful situations.

  • Adaptable team player dedicated to helping the group succeed.

  • Ability to decode complex regulations and resolve customer/staff inquiries.

  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills for diverse audiences.

  • Competent in reading, interpreting, and writing standard business documents and reports.

  • Clear communicator capable of explaining basic concepts to peers.

  • Strong procedural problem-solving skills with a focus on standardized solutions.

  • Highly disciplined in following structured workflows and detailed instructions.
