Logistics Coordinator
Job Description
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing inventory, planning and coordinating materials, liaising with vendors and suppliers, supporting job sites, and maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, track, and maintain accurate records of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure stock levels meet project requirements.
- Implement systems to minimize waste and optimize material usage.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to schedule and allocate materials for multiple job sites.
- Develop and maintain delivery schedules to align with project milestones.
- Ensure timely distribution of materials to job sites, avoiding delays and shortages.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, resolve discrepancies, and manage lead times.
- Work closely with site managers and project teams to forecast material needs.
- Provide real-time updates on material availability and delivery status.
- Troubleshoot logistical challenges and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
- Prepare reports on material usage, costs, and logistics performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Skills and Qualifications Required
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, inventory control, or procurement.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with logistics, customer service, and transportation.
- Knowledge of dispatching, data entry, and third-party logistics.
- Familiarity with shipping procedures.
Work Environment
The position is onsite in Jackson, with working hours from 6am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 6am to 2:30pm. This is a long-term contract with the potential to become permanent, offering advancement and training opportunities. Overtime is available.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
