Occupational Therapist School Setting in Broomfield, CO

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Colorado
• Strong understanding of best practices in pediatric and school-based OT
• Previous experience working in educational settings, preferably with K-12 students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adept at documentation and meeting compliance standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ functional abilities in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans focused on enhancing participation and performance in school routines
• Collaborate closely with educators, special education teams, and families to support student progress
• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services according to IEP goals
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and outcomes
• Participate in IEP meetings to articulate OT recommendations and advocate for appropriate accommodations or strategies
• Deliver engaging activities and interventions in both individual and group settings
