Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Build, implement, and administer network environments using Cisco routing, switching, and wireless platforms.
• Oversee day-to-day network health by tracking performance, availability, and overall stability across infrastructure components.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity and hardware issues involving Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and related equipment.
• Apply and maintain network security controls to safeguard systems, traffic, and access across the environment.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders on network-focused projects, including cloud connectivity and remote access capabilities.
• Recommend and introduce improvements based on emerging Cisco solutions and current networking standards.
• Support firewall administration and routing changes to maintain secure and efficient data flow.
• Use monitoring and troubleshooting tools to identify risks early and minimize service disruptions.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in LAN/WAN operations with a strong preference for CCNA or comparable certification.
• Demonstrated experience in a Network Engineer role with strong hands-on expertise in Cisco-based infrastructure.
• Proven ability to configure and support Cisco routers, switches, ASA devices, and wireless technologies, as well as Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls.
• Solid understanding of core networking concepts and protocols related to routing, switching, and secure network operations.
• Experience with firewall configuration, network routing, and switch management in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with network monitoring platforms, troubleshooting methods, and performance analysis techniques.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Working knowledge of backup technologies and computer hardware is a plus.
