Job Description

As an assembler, you will clip pins, connectors, and fasteners to correct specifications using approved hand tools. You will be responsible for assembling mechanical and/or electrical components and harnesses as directed, supporting the assembly of wire harnesses, cable systems, and other control units. Your role includes logging all work activities accurately, including part numbers, work orders, and quantities, and maintaining a safe, organized, and FOD-free work environment through 'clean-as-you-go' practices. You must follow established safety, quality, and procedural requirements at all times and perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Clip pins, connectors, and fasteners to correct specifications using approved hand tools.
  • Assemble mechanical and/or electrical components and harnesses as directed.
  • Support the assembly of wire harnesses, cable systems, and other control units.
  • Log all work activities accurately, including part numbers, work orders, and quantities.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and FOD-free work environment through 'clean-as-you-go' practices.
  • Follow established safety, quality, and procedural requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • 6 months of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

The Assembly Technician I role is an entry-level position responsible for assembling components, subassemblies, and cable harnesses following standard procedures and guidelines. This position supports production goals by performing repetitive, hands-on tasks with accuracy, cleanliness, and attention to detail. You will use technologies and equipment such as torch drivers, electric lower power screwdrivers, and follow work instructions, drawings, and blueprints. The role requires standing or sitting for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds, with frequent use of hands and small tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morgan Hill, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
