Express Employment is seeking TIG welders to join a great company in Simpsonville. Key Responsibilities

TIG welders perform specialized welding tasks using tungsten inert gas techniques to fuse metal parts together, often working on structures like bridges, automotive bodies, aerospace components, and building frameworks

Their duties include:

• Setting up and preparing welding equipment, including TIG torches, gas regulators, and power sources
• Selecting and preparing materials, inspecting and cleaning surfaces, and aligning metal workpieces before welding
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate welds
• Operating TIG welding machinery with precision, controlling current, voltage, and gas
• Performing welds according to specifications, ensuring joints are free from defects such as cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion
• Conducting visual inspections and quality checks, performing repairs or rework as needed Collaborating with engineers to address issues with materials or assemblies, such as damaged ducts or components
• Maintaining safety standards and proper operation of welding equipment
• Training and supervising less experienced welders to ensure quality standards are met

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in TIG welding techniques and familiarity with other welding methods like GTAW or GMAW
• Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding code
• Knowledge of welding equipment, filler rods, torch tips, and gas flow regulation
