Location: Machias, ME

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and analysis in accordance with established procedures
• Analyze patient specimens and accurately report test results
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Perform quality control and quality assurance activities
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to support patient care
• Participate in weekend rotations as required

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology or a related field
• Certification, registration, or certification eligibility as a:
• Medical Technologist (MT), or
• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
• Knowledge of laboratory principles, methods, materials, equipment, and testing techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities

Preferred Skills

• Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Education

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
