Job Opportunity – Ultrasound Technologist – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: July 20, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:30 PM–10:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts). Rotating weekend call required. 72 guaranteed hours per 2-week period. 13-week assignment with potential for extension up to 1 calendar year.

  • Perform a diverse range of general and vascular ultrasound exams across all patient populations including neonates, children, and adults

  • 40-hour paid orientation with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, and transportation
  • Flexible block scheduling available with time-off requests considered on an individual basis
  • Daily census of approximately 8 patients with exposure to inpatient, emergency department, ICU, NICU, and PICU settings
Requirements:
  • Current Alaska state license (pending licenses accepted; processing takes 10–12 weeks)
  • ARDMS certification required (both general and vascular); credentials in abdomen or obstetrics/gynecology and vascular technology preferred
  • ARDMS RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year of ultrasound technologist experience
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
  • Ability to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate locations
