American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment in an X-Ray/CT unit utilizing Cerner.
Details- Acute care hospital setting in an X-Ray/CT unit
- Performs general imaging exams including X-rays and CT scans across inpatient, outpatient, and ED patient populations
- Average workload of approximately 100 exams per day
- In-house radiologist available to support imaging processes
- No IV starts or on-call duties required
- 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- May float between inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients as needed
- Charting in Cerner; familiarity with Merge-PACS and RIS systems also utilized
- Minimum of 2 years of CT experience; basic general imaging skills required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification required
- Current BLS (AHA) required
- Illinois state license required if applicable
- Experience with GE, Philips, Carestream, and Siemens radiology equipment preferred
- Familiarity with Merge-PACS, Cerner/HIS, and RIS systems preferred
- Perform a wide range of general and CT imaging exams in accordance with established protocols
- Document imaging results accurately in the EMR and utilize PACS for image storage and retrieval
- Collaborate with radiologists and the broader healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Department-specific orientation will be provided
- Scrubs provided; dress code is ciel blue tops and black bottoms
