Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience for a 13-week inpatient assignment at a large hospital in Dallas, TX.

Details\n

\n
• Inpatient physical therapy unit within a 899-bed acute care hospital in Dallas, TX
\n
• Shift options are either 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
\n
• Patient ratio of approximately 12–14 patients per therapist
\n
• Float coverage across rehab and acute care areas
\n
• Weekend rotation required, with at least 2 weekend days per 4-week block schedule
\n
• Holiday coverage is required
\n
• EMR: Meditech
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care PT experience required; allied candidates must have at least 6 months of experience within the last 6 months
\n
• Inpatient rehab, acute care, and/or SNF experience required
\n
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
\n
• Active PT license required, if applicable
\n
• ICU and wound care experience preferred
\n
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
\n
• Professional reference required (quantity varies by state: 2 references for Florida and Missouri; 1 reference for all other states)
\n
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
\n

• Primary responsibilities include patient evaluation and treatment across acute care and inpatient rehab settings
\n
• Ideal candidate is positive, collaborative, and proactive in communication
\n
• Hunter green scrubs required
\n
• Nail policy prohibits artificial nails, dip powder, or gel polish; nails must be kept short
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible for this position
