American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring high-risk OB experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details\n

\n
• Work in a 45-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 2 operating rooms across multiple hospital campuses
\n
• Patient population includes high-risk OB, antepartum, C-section, and vaginal delivery cases
\n
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2
\n
• Unit performs approximately 150-350 deliveries per month across campuses
\n
• Utilizes magnesium, insulin, and pitocin drips
\n
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week
\n
• Required to work every third weekend
\n
• No on-call requirements
\n
• Required to float across multiple campuses to maternity units including postpartum, mother-baby, and L&D
\n
• Uses Epic EMR
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license required
\n
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
\n
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
\n
• Current NRP certification
\n
• AWHONN certification or Intermediate/Advanced EFM certificate required
\n
• Required L&D nursing experience
\n
• Preferred postpartum/mother-baby care experience
\n
• Required current or recent high-risk OB experience in a Level II trauma facility
\n
• Highly preferred current or recent high-risk OB experience in a Level I trauma facility
\n
• Required antepartum and C-section/vaginal delivery experience
\n
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment within the past 12 months; no first-time travelers
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
\n
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
\n

Additional Information\n

• Provide direct patient care in high-risk obstetrics, antepartum, and delivery settings
\n
• Hospital-provided scrubs
\n
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
\n
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
\n
• Past FTE or PRN employees of the health system's float pool are ineligible to work travel assignments in another market within the health system
\n
