Unit: Labor & Delivery (70730)
Location: Frisco
Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12s)

Unit Overview

• 13 L&D beds
• 2 Triage Rooms
• 2 OR Suites
• Team of 34 staff members
• Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:1 or 1:2
• Equipment: GE Electronic Fetal Monitors (EFM)
• EMR: CPN & Meditech

Required Qualifications

✅ 2+ years recent Labor & Delivery experience
✅ BLS (AHA)
✅ ACLS (AHA)
✅ NRP

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Scrub capability for C-sections
⭐ Charge Nurse experience

Common Procedures

• Labor inductions
• Cesarean sections
• TOLAC (Trial of Labor After Cesarean)

Scheduling Requirements

• 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• 1 on-call shift per schedule
• Holiday requirements discussed during interview

Floating

• No floating required

Dress Code

• Royal Blue scrubs

Ideal Candidate

An experienced L&D RN who is confident managing labor patients, assisting with C-sections, comfortable in a fast-paced obstetric environment, and brings a positive, team-oriented attitude. Scrub experience and charge experience will make a candidate especially competitive.
