Patient Care & Clinical Practice \n

- \n
- Facilitates, implements, and evaluates the Patient Plan of Care and outcomes. \n
- Collaborates with the health care team to promote positive patient outcomes. \n
- Acts as a patient advocate. \n
- Ensures timely implementation of nursing interventions. \n
- Demonstrates appropriate clinical skills and technical competence in providing patient care. \n
- Uses sound clinical judgment and critical thinking to assess, analyze, and communicate patient information. \n
- Accurately and promptly documents all patient assessments, interventions, patient responses, and provider communications. \n
Patient Safety \n
\n
- \n
- Assesses patient safety risk factors and identifies patients requiring specific safety interventions (e.g., skin integrity, fall risk, appropriate use of restraints). \n
- Follows medication safety policies. \n
- Initiates appropriate safety interventions promptly. \n
- Completes Safety Tracking Tools as required. \n
Delegation & Supervision \n

- Supervises assigned staff and delegates tasks appropriately. \n
- Takes responsibility for all care provided to assigned patients. \n
- Reports performance issues of team members to ensure safe, appropriate patient care. \n
Patient & Family Education \n

- Assesses the educational needs of patients and families. \n
- Provides appropriate verbal and written education. \n
- Documents assessments and all education provided. \n
- Provider Orders & Clinical Workflow \n
- \n
- Conducts ongoing review, initiation, and implementation of provider orders every shift. \n
- Prioritizes responsibilities based on urgency and patient needs. \n
- Uses appropriate resources, problem-solves independently, multitasks efficiently, and demonstrates effective time-management skills. \n
Professional Accountability & Development \n

- Seeks additional clinical experiences to enhance knowledge and competency. \n
- Actively assists coworkers and accepts additional duties or assignments. \n
- Completes required education and annual competencies in a timely manner. \n

\n Qualifications \n

- Minimum of 1 year as a nurse \n
- ACLS preferred at hire or within 90 days of hire \n
- EPIC preferred \n
\n
\n Credentials \n
\n
\n
- \n
- RN - Registered Nurse \n
- BLS - Basic Life Saving certification \n
- NIH - Stroke Certification \n
\n
\n Education \n
\n
\n
- \n
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school \n
\n
