Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist (General)
Location: Fortuna, CA
Type: Travel or Local Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 40 Hours Per Week
Pay Rate:
Local: $48/hr - $58/hr (Based on Experience)
Travel: $60/hr - $66/hr (Based on Experience)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (General) for an exciting Travel or Local Contract job in Fortuna, CA.
Responsibilities
Perform general diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and department protocols.
Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Review patient history and verify imaging requests before procedures.
Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Identify and document appropriate anatomical and pathological findings.
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the electronic medical record system.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding imaging results and patient care.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, infection control guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Perform routine equipment quality checks and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
Maintain patient confidentiality and provide exceptional patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Current ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) Certification or equivalent credential.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging procedures, anatomy, and patient care practices.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years of recent experience as a General Ultrasound Technologist.
Previous travel healthcare experience.
Experience in hospital-based imaging departments.
Multiple ultrasound registries or specialty certifications.
