Job Description
A growing technology manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and enhance workplace safety, environmental compliance, and risk management programs.
This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving EHS initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and promoting a proactive culture of safety throughout the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and facilities teams to support operational excellence and employee well-being.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnvironmental Health & Safety Leadership- Lead and manage the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) program across the facility.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Serve as a key resource and advisor on workplace safety and environmental matters.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct hazard assessments, job safety analyses, and risk mitigation activities.
- Manage EHS reporting, documentation, permits, and regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate regulatory inspections, audits, and agency interactions.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Develop and monitor corrective and preventive action plans.
- Identify trends and implement proactive measures to reduce workplace risks.
- Deliver new hire orientation and ongoing safety training programs.
- Provide task-specific and annual compliance training.
- Promote employee awareness and participation in safety initiatives.
- Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and facilities teams on new processes, equipment installations, and facility modifications.
- Evaluate operational changes to ensure EHS requirements are incorporated into planning and execution.
- Monitor workplace conditions and recommend improvements to safety and environmental performance.
- Lead emergency response planning and preparedness activities.
- Coordinate drills, response procedures, and safety readiness initiatives.
- Track, analyze, and report key EHS performance metrics.
- Provide leadership with recommendations and action plans based on performance data.
- Minimum of 3 years of Environmental Health & Safety experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or technology-based operations preferred.
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting investigations, audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Strong communication and training delivery skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
