Kennel Assistant

Wellspring Animal Hospital is seeking a dependable, animal-loving Kennel Assistant to join our team! This role focuses on the care of boarding pets—ensuring their comfort, safety, and cleanliness during their stay. Benefits & Compensation**

• $10-$11 per hour for each hour worked*
• Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law

Schedule:

• Every other Saturday morning and weekday afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive care to boarding dogs and cats
• Feed, walk, and monitor pets for health and behavior changes
• Clean kennels and hospital areas as needed
• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment
• Work independently and responsibly

Minimum Qualifications & Skillset:

• 1+ years of experience as a veterinary kennel assistant / kennel technician preferred
  • Will consider related experience within animal care such as boarding / doggy daycare attendant, FFA or 4H background
• Comfortable and confident handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• Trustworthy and able to work unsupervised
• Reliable transportation is a must
• Prior experience is a plus, but not required
• Availability that blends successfully, long-term with the scheduling needs
