Licensed Practical Nurse | Med/Surg
Gateway Regional Medical Center - Granite City, IL
Full-Time | Nights, 7p–7a | $23.80–$35.70/hr
Make a real difference on the night shift - new grads welcome.
Gateway Regional Medical Center is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Med/Surg team on nights. Working under the guidance of our RN team, you'll provide direct, hands-on patient care and play a key role in keeping patients comfortable, safe, and supported overnight.
This is a great opportunity for a new grad looking to build a strong clinical foundation, or an experienced LPN who thrives in a close-knit night shift team.
What You'll Do
- Deliver patient care using core vocational nursing skills and techniques
- Work under RN supervision to carry out patient care tasks and support the broader care plan
- Communicate and collaborate closely with RNs and the rest of the care team
- Help ensure patients receive safe, attentive care throughout the night shift
What You Bring
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current Illinois LPN license
- Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross); ACLS preferred
- Willingness to complete Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training within 1 month of hire
- Clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Physical stamina and emotional resilience for a fast-paced clinical environment
