ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Receives customer concern from customer, issues quality alert, other documentation to internal departments. Places quality alert on QRQC boards
  2. Collects sort / certification and short term countermeasure information - inputs to customer portal
  3. Logging of customer concerns to database / logs in a timely manner
  4. Collects investigation information from QRQC, develops reports
  5. Submits final report to customer portal by due date
  6. Confirms that all documentation is updated and filed per IATF requirements
  7. Collect additional information from customers as required
  8. Requests defect parts back from customers in a timely manner, reviews parts and processes them per TG procedure
  9. Monitors progress of issues in customer portals
  10. Develop improvement ideas (kaizen) to improve efficiency of the department
  11. Supports IATF audit of customer complaints
  12. Maintain awareness and understand the roles and responsibilities regarding the environmental policies, management system, and objectives and targets by attending the required training. Perform all tasks in accordance with the EMS procedures and practices and minimize the impact of their activities on the environment.
  13. Negotiation of customer concerns and PPM disputes

Ability to develop good working relationships with customers

Ability to problem solve - 5 why, 8-D, etc.

Willing to travel up to 20% of time (domestic and international)

Ability to read blue prints / drawings and technical specifications

TS 16949 experience a plus

Trained TS 16949 internal auditor

Advanced statistical training

Advanced problem solving skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

BS degree in engineering or technical-related discipline or 2-3 years’ experience in Quality or Engineering in a manufacturing environment

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Clear, concise written and verbal skills and problem solving skills required. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively after groups of team members. Ability to speak effectively with customers.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Computer proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform high level mathematical calculations and to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime throughout the week and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
