Regional Locum Veterinarian – Western Michigan
Western Veterinary Partners is seeking a Regional Locum Veterinarian to support our partner hospitals throughout Western Michigan. This full-time relief position is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys variety, values collaboration, and thrives in a dynamic clinical environment.
We're also open to discussing part-time relief scheduling for the right candidate.
In this role, you'll primarily support hospitals in the Grand Rapids and Muskegon areas, working alongside talented teams while maintaining a flexible schedule and diverse caseload.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a veterinarian who can seamlessly adapt to different hospital cultures and team dynamics while delivering high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree
- Licensed (or eligible for veterinary licensure) in Michigan
- Small animal clinical experience required
- 5+ years of veterinary experience strongly preferred
- Ability to quickly build rapport with clients and veterinary teams
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills

An experienced support team and positive hospital culture allow veterinarians to practice quality medicine while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Grand Rapids Hospital
This AAHA-accredited, six-doctor practice features a Fear Free Certified team that provides comprehensive, relationship-centered care. The hospital has special interests in dentistry and behavior medicine, creating additional opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and collaboration.
