Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Technologist (MT), or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to perform critical diagnostic laboratory testing.
In this role, you will conduct a wide range of tests and procedures that assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. You will analyze results, interpret data, maintain strict quality control standards, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure our clinical teams can make highly informed medical decisions.
Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnostic Testing: Perform accurate, high-quality laboratory testing across key specialties (e.g., chemistry, hematology, blood bank, microbiology) in compliance with hospital and CLIA guidelines.
Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret complex laboratory results, promptly identifying and reporting critical values to clinical providers.
Quality Control & Compliance: Adhere strictly to established quality control protocols, document equipment maintenance, and maintain full compliance with regulatory standards.
Instrumentation Maintenance: Troubleshoot, calibrate, and resolve issues with sophisticated laboratory analyzers and instrumentation.
Collaboration: Partner effectively with laboratory colleagues, phlebotomists, and nursing staff to ensure safe and efficient sample processing and turnaround times.
Experience Level: Previous clinical laboratory experience is preferred, but passionate New Graduates are highly encouraged to apply!
Path 1: For MLT Candidates (Associate Level)Education (One of the following):
Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program (including chemistry and biology).
Associate degree (at least 60 semester hours) including chemistry and biology, plus a 12-month structured curriculum in medical laboratory techniques.
Graduation from a military medical laboratory training program of at least 12 months duration.
Certification Requirements:
Certification eligibility as an MLT (ASCP), MLT (AMT), HEW, or CLS (NCA) required for individuals certified in 2004 or later. (Registry recommended within 12 months of graduation).
Note: Individuals qualified prior to Dec 31, 2003, are exempt from maintaining yearly certification.
Education (One of the following):
Baccalaureate degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
Completion of an approved ASCP (or equivalent) certification pathway, or satisfied CLIA requirements for HEW certification.
Must have completed one year in an accredited laboratory training program.
Certification Requirements:
Certification eligibility as an MLS (ASCP), MT (AMT), HEW, or CLS (NCA) required for individuals certified in 2004 or later. (Certification preferred within 12 months of graduation).
Note: Individuals qualified prior to Dec 31, 2003, are exempt from maintaining yearly certification.
