Gateway Regional Medical Center - Granite City, IL
Full-Time | Days, M–F, 40 hrs/wk | $17.50–$26.24/hr
Be part of a cardiology team making a real difference in patients' heart health.
Gateway Regional Medical Center is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our Cardiology clinic team. You'll be a key part of the patient experience from start to finish - managing check-in, scheduling, and patient flow, while supporting the office's clinical and administrative needs in a specialty setting.
This is a great opportunity for a new graduate looking to start a healthcare career in cardiology, or an experienced MA who enjoys variety and direct patient contact.
What You'll Do
- Support the delivery of office-based healthcare and patient care management
- Direct patient flow throughout the physician's office
- Manage patient check-in and appointment scheduling
- Maintain accurate patient financial records in support of office operations
- Provide a smooth, well-managed close to each patient visit
- Answer and direct phone calls appropriately
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Office or medically related experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
