Fabricator

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled fabricator to join our team. The fabricator will be responsible for fabricating signage of aluminum and metal structures and components, while possessing a strong foundation in welding techniques. The ideal candidate should be experienced in reading blueprints, following welding procedures, possess a keen eye for detail, and ensure quality and safety standards are consistently met.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project

• Sourcing the materials to be used in the project

• Measuring, cutting, and bending materials to specifications

• Cleaning and welding materials using the correct techniques to join the metals together

• Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints

• Carefully inspect their work for imperfections and defects to ensure the structural integrity of their projects

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately

• Knowledge of metallurgy

• Time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Minimum of 2 years of fabrication experience preferred

• Knowledge of various welding techniques, including MIG and arc welding

• Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques

• Educated in workplace safety practices, including the type of protective equipment needed in various situations

Salary: $20-25/hr. based on experience – Full-time position
