Pet Clinic on Bellfort is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team.

We are a privately owned animal clinic focused on providing high-quality medicine, exceptional patient care, and outstanding client service. We believe veterinary technicians should be able to fully utilize their training and skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Doctors primarily focus on examinations, diagnostics, and treatment recommendations, while our trained technical team performs treatments, diagnostics, nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, laboratory procedures, and patient care.

We are seeking a technician with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital who is confident working in a fast-paced environment and committed to providing excellent patient care.

 

What You'll Do

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, surgery, and dental procedures
• Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics
• Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Monitor anesthesia and recover surgical patients
• Take high-quality radiographs
• Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients
• Create and discuss treatment plans and estimates with clients
• Educate clients regarding preventive care, medications, diagnostics, and treatment recommendations
• Maintain accurate medical records and charges

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of veterinary clinic or animal hospital experience required
• Strong patient handling and restraint skills for dogs and cats
• Experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, and laboratory procedures
• Ability to work efficiently and independently while supporting team goals
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Team-oriented, dependable, and professional
• Veterinary Technician degree preferred but not required
• Spanish-speaking preferred

 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and handle patients up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
