Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist to support a broad range of human resources activities in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who can balance employee advocacy with sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and manage complex HR matters with a high level of discretion. The role will contribute across employee relations, onboarding, benefits support, and HR systems administration while helping ensure accurate reporting and efficient day-to-day HR operations.
Responsibilities:
• Guide employees and managers on workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and other sensitive human resources matters with discretion and sound judgment.
• Lead and document employee relations reviews and workplace investigations, ensuring timely follow-up and well-supported outcomes.
• Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including required paperwork, system setup, and a smooth transition into the organization.
• Support benefits-related processes by assisting with enrollments, employee questions, and ongoing administrative tasks tied to benefit programs.
• Maintain and update employee records within HR information systems, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
• Use ADP Workforce Now to manage HR transactions, reporting needs, and routine administrative processes tied to the employee lifecycle.
• Prepare, analyze, and organize HR data in Microsoft Excel to support reporting, audits, and operational decision-making.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve HR workflows and assist with additional system or process-related activities as needed.
