Join our dynamic team as a Medical Assistant in an urgent care facility, where you'll play a vital role in patient care and administrative support. This role requires a commitment of 3 to 6 months, with the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient experiences and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform back office duties, including checking in and checking out patients.
- Record vital signs and log patient information into the NexGen EMR/EHR system.
- Verify patient insurance details.
- Cover front desk duties when the receptionist is on lunch.
- Schedule appointments and manage electronic health records.
- Assist with patient care in both back and front office settings.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Proficiency in using NexGen EMR system.
- Ability to work three 12-hour shifts per week, including weekends.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Experience in drawing blood is a plus.
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification is a plus.
- Experience in both back and front office medical settings.
The role is based in an urgent care facility in West Covina, operating from 10:30 am to 11:00 pm, scheduled for three days per week, including weekends. The team is part of a large physician-led network in Southern California, committed to providing quality healthcare. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
