Job Description
We are looking for an Accountant to join a team in El Monte, California in a contract opportunity with permanent potential. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys managing day-to-day accounting activities while supporting accurate reporting and financial operations. The position offers the chance to contribute across core accounting functions, from transaction processing to financial analysis, in a fast-paced business environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting activities by handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and routine bookkeeping tasks.
• Reconcile bank accounts and financial records to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account analysis.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to assist leadership with business planning and decision-making.
• Gather and organize documentation needed for tax filings and provide support during tax preparation activities.
• Assist in developing budgets by compiling financial data and working with management on planning efforts.
• Conduct internal reviews of accounting records and processes, and recommend improvements that strengthen controls and efficiency.
• Help maintain compliance with applicable financial regulations and stay informed on current accounting standards and best practices.• Bilingual proficiency in Japanese with at least 1 year of accounting experience, or bilingual proficiency in another Asian language with 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel for reporting, analysis, and data organization.
• Experience supporting full-cycle accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and closing processes.
• Ability to prepare financial statements and interpret financial information with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP platforms, including systems such as ADP or Great Plains, is highly valued.
• Understanding of audit support, budget tracking, and general accounting procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain organized records, and communicate effectively in a structured setting.
