Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support the academic and emotional growth of students in a dynamic educational environment as a School Psychologist. This is a contract opportunity to cover a maternity leave from November through March, allowing you to make a meaningful difference during a critical time in students’ development.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Hold a valid School Psychologist certification or license (state requirements must be met)
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Experience with psychoeducational assessments, intervention planning, and counseling services in a school setting
- Strong communication abilities to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education eligibility determination
- Empathy, adaptability, and a student-focused approach to problem-solving
- Previous experience working in K-12 schools preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students, providing clear, actionable reports
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, assisting in the development and review of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Offer individual and group counseling to support students’ emotional and behavioral needs
- Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to create effective interventions
- Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral management
- Maintain detailed, confidential documentation in compliance with federal and state guidelines
