A rare opportunity is available right now at the General Motors facility in Roanoke, IN. We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join a growing team supporting safety initiatives in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

Schedule
Day Shift
Monday-Friday
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Candidates must be flexible for occasional weekends and off-shift support related to training, investigations, and operational needs.

What You'll Do:
• Conduct new hire safety orientations and training
• Investigate workplace incidents and complete reports
• Communicate directly with customer leadership
• Attend and support safety meetings
• Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance activities
• Perform production floor safety observations
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain safety documentation and records
• Promote safe work practices and PPE compliance
• Support environmental compliance initiatives
• Partner with operations teams to strengthen the safety culture

What We're Looking For:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 0-2 years of safety, manufacturing, industrial, or facilities experience
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• OSHA knowledge preferred
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
