Assembler
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler to support manufacturing operations by performing composite layup, inspection, and finishing processes in accordance with established manufacturing plans and quality standards. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Review manufacturing plans to ensure proper instructions, specifications, and materials are identified prior to starting work
- Verify all required parts, tools, and materials are available before beginning assembly
- Perform composite layup using specified layup molds (LM) or mandrels according to manufacturing instructions
- Complete part layup processes in alignment with engineering and production specifications
- Inspect work at each stage for quality compliance and absence of Foreign Object Debris (FOD)
- Conduct visual inspection of finished components to verify quality standards are met
- Clean and prepare parts according to required specifications
- Package (bag) parts per established procedures
- Stage completed parts on outgoing production shelves for next process steps
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S standards)
- Properly handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with safety guidelines
- Return all tools and unused materials to designated areas upon completion of tasks
- Follow all health, safety, and PPE requirements at all times
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including Lean initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, RCCA, and Value Stream Analysis
- Support development and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing plans
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Basic understanding of safety practices in a production setting
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/production floor environment
- Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- May involve handling chemicals or composite materials
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayden, ID.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
