The Assembler supports production by building crates and related components using power tools and hand tools while following established manufacturing and quality standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring products are assembled accurately, safely, and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble crates and related components according to work instructions, drawings, or production specifications.
- Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to cut, fasten, and secure materials during the assembly process.
- Inspect materials and finished products to verify they meet quality and safety standards.
- Follow manufacturing procedures and production schedules to meet daily output and productivity goals.
- Identify and report defects, quality issues, or equipment problems to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of tools and materials.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while operating tools and working on the production floor.
- Collaborate with team members and support other production tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
- Previous manufacturing or general production experience.
- Hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools in an industrial or production setting.
- Ability to perform basic assembly tasks accurately and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts, including 1st and 3rd shifts.
- Experience in crate assembly or similar assembly work in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with basic quality control practices in production settings.
- Comfort working with various materials and tools on a production floor.
- Willingness to work different shifts based on a 2x2x3 shift schedule.

Work Environment
This role is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility, where temperatures may vary with the seasons. The position follows a 2x2x3 shift pattern with opportunities on both 1st and 3rd shifts, so flexibility to work different days and hours is important. You will work on a production floor using power tools, hand tools, and standard manufacturing equipment, and you should be prepared for a physically active environment that requires standing for extended periods and handling materials throughout your shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bardstown, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
