Location: Brooklyn, New York
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Local Pay Rate: $2,150 - $2,250 Weekly
Traveler Pay Rate: $2,700 - $2,800 Weekly
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technician to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Required Qualifications• Minimum two (2) years of recent X-Ray Technologist experience.
• Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
• Strong competency in performing diagnostic radiographic procedures.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and infection prevention practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• BLS Certification preferred.
Responsibilities• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain examination processes.
• Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate radiographic equipment and adjust technical factors as required.
• Apply radiation protection principles to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Utilize immobilization devices and shielding when appropriate.
• Evaluate radiographic images for technical quality and diagnostic acceptability.
• Process and verify imaging studies according to departmental procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report maintenance concerns.
• Assist with inventory management of radiology supplies and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare team members.
