Groundskeeper – John Vance Auto Group (Guthrie, OK)

John Vance Auto Group, a family-owned and operated business serving Oklahoma for over 40 years, is looking for a reliable Groundskeeper/Maintenance Worker to help keep our dealership facilities and outdoor areas safe, clean, and looking their best.

About the Role

As a Groundskeeper, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the appearance and functionality of our dealership. From mowing and landscaping to light repairs and general upkeep, this position is hands-on and active, perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors and taking pride in a job well done.

Responsibilities

• Keep dealership grounds visually appealing and safe

• Pick up and dispose of trash

• Take tires to the recycling bin

• Mow, weed eat, water, and fertilize grass

• Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, and flowers

• Paint indoor and outdoor surfaces (walls, poles, doors, curbs)

• Perform light maintenance (replace doors, windows, walls, carpet, filters, etc.)

• Move boxes, equipment, or furniture as needed

• Remove damaged/unwanted trees, equipment, or debris

• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Must be self-motivated, dependable, and proud of your work 

• Ability to sit, stand, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Maintenance or groundskeeping experience preferred

• Ability to work in outdoor conditions year-round

• Familiarity with chemicals, tools, and equipment used in groundskeeping and maintenance
