A leading international legal organization is seeking a polished and resourceful Senior Practice Assistant to provide dedicated support to attorneys within its Dispute Resolution practice. This position plays an integral role in ensuring the seamless coordination of attorney schedules, client interactions, case-related activities, and administrative operations.
The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who excels in a fast-moving environment, demonstrates exceptional organizational abilities, and is comfortable managing sensitive information while balancing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Responsibilities for Senior Practice Assistant (Global Law Firm)
• Manage complex attorney calendars, coordinating appointments, deadlines, travel arrangements, meetings, and court-related commitments.
• Facilitate scheduling and logistics for hearings, witness interviews, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, client conferences, and internal practice group meetings.
• Prepare, revise, and finalize correspondence, memoranda, presentations, reports, and other business-critical documents while ensuring accuracy and professional formatting.
• Maintain litigation and matter-related records, including electronic files, document repositories, and case materials.
• Coordinate trial preparation activities, including organization of exhibits, reference materials, presentation binders, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor deadlines and assist attorneys with administrative aspects of active matters to help ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Handle expense reimbursement submissions, time-entry support, invoice processing, and other administrative accounting functions.
• Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, vendors, court personnel, and internal stakeholders.
• Partner with attorneys and business support teams to facilitate efficient workflow management and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications for Senior Practice Assistant (Global Law Firm)
• Minimum of five years of experience supporting senior professionals in a legal, consulting, financial services, or other professional services environment.
• Prior experience assisting attorneys, partners, or legal teams involved in disputes, investigations, regulatory matters, or complex case management is highly desirable.
• Outstanding written communication skills with the ability to edit, proofread, and produce polished business documents.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet critical deadlines, and remain organized under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service mindset with the ability to interact confidently across all levels of an organization.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience utilizing document management systems, matter management platforms, or legal technology tools is preferred.
• High degree of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment when handling confidential information.
• Self-motivated team player capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative support environment.
