NOW HIRING: Medical Assistant with Limited X-Ray Permit

Location: Ontario, California

Universal Point Clinics is a growing Occupational Health, Workers' Compensation, and Urgent Care practice seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with a California Limited X-Ray Permit to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated healthcare professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and making a difference in the care of injured workers and occupational medicine patients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform digital X-rays in accordance with California Limited X-Ray Permit regulations
• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures
• Perform urine drug screening and breath alcohol testing
• Assist with DOT physicals and occupational health examinations
• Perform audiometry, vision testing, spirometry, and other occupational health testing
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Coordinate patient care and referrals
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic policies
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, employers, and insurance representatives

Qualifications:

• Current California Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Current California Limited X-Ray Permit required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
• Occupational medicine, urgent care, or workers' compensation experience preferred
• Experience performing digital radiography
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Knowledge of EMR systems
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
