Vacation Rental Maintenance / After Hours Support

Part-Time Property Maintenance Support

Kiwanda Coastal Properties is looking for a reliable, hands-on maintenance person to help care for the vacation homes we manage in the Pacific City area.

This can be structured as either a regular part-time position, ideally 2–3 days per week, or as an after-hours support role only for the right person. We are open to hiring separately for after-hours support if someone is a good fit but not available for regular daytime work.

This role is a great fit for someone who is handy, practical, calm under pressure, and enjoys solving problems. An experienced contractor, builder, or experienced maintenance person would be ideal.

Work may include troubleshooting and repairing common household issues such as toilets, doors, windows, plumbing, locks, leaks, minor electrical issues, tightening furniture, fixing BBQs, delivering items to homes, and helping with general property support.

Just as importantly, this person helps create guest satisfaction by responding quickly, finding solutions, and helping people feel taken care of. Sometimes the biggest win is simply showing up, solving the issue, and helping a frustrated guest feel heard.

Pay is DOE. Higher pay may be available for someone with strong experience, their own tools, and the ability to work independently.

Ideal candidate:

• Has maintenance, construction, handyman, or contractor experience
• Can troubleshoot basic home repair issues
• Is reliable, kind, and professional with guests and team members
• Has their own transportation
• Has their own tools, preferred but not required
• Is available 2–3 days per week and/or available for after-hours support
