Manage the pre-installation readiness, installation, quality assurance, and completion of cabinetry projects for residential and multifamily construction. The Cabinet Field Manager is responsible for ensuring cabinetry installations are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards while serving as the primary field resource for installers, builders, superintendents, and homeowners.

This is a hands-on field leadership role requiring extensive cabinetry installation knowledge and the ability to perform inspections, troubleshooting, adjustments, touch-ups, and minor finish work as needed. The Cabinet Field Manager must be able to identify and resolve installation issues in the field, including cabinet alignment, door and drawer adjustments, molding installation, hardware corrections, punch work, and warranty-related concerns.

Essential Functions

Level I

  • Assist with and learn cabinetry installation inspections, quality control processes, and field operations.
  • Coordinate installation activities to ensure materials, labor, and schedules align with builder requirements.
  • Conduct field visits to inspect cabinet installations for quality, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
  • Perform minor adjustments and punch work, including door and drawer alignment, hardware adjustments, trim repairs, and touch-ups as needed.
  • Support installation crews in resolving field issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate safety expectations and ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Level II

  • All Level I responsibilities plus:
  • Independently manage cabinetry installation projects and field operations.
  • Conduct detailed quality inspections and oversee corrective action plans.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues related to cabinet fit, finish, alignment, moldings, fillers, hardware, and field modifications.
  • Install or modify crown molding, fillers, trim pieces, and other cabinetry-related components when necessary to ensure quality completion.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to installers and subcontractors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Level III

  • All Level II responsibilities plus:
  • Train and mentor Field Managers and installation crews on cabinetry installation best practices and quality expectations.
  • Serve as the field subject matter expert for cabinetry installation methods, quality standards, and issue resolution.
  • Support Customer Service and Operations teams with escalated field concerns, warranty issues, and builder quality reviews.
  • Ensure field personnel consistently meet or exceed company quality and customer service expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Level I

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including handheld devices and tablets.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, cabinet layouts, elevations, specifications, and builder communications.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic math skills including measurements, square footage, linear footage, and material calculations.
  • Minimum 1 year of cabinetry, finish carpentry, installation, or related construction experience.

Level II

  • All Level I qualifications plus:
  • Experience leading installation crews or coordinating field operations in a construction environment.
  • Minimum 4 years of cabinetry installation, finish carpentry, or related experience.
  • Strong understanding of cabinet installation methods, crown molding, fillers, trim, hardware, and quality standards.
  • Ability to inspect installations, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.

Level III

  • All Level II qualifications plus:
  • Minimum 7 years of cabinetry installation and field management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of cabinetry construction, installation techniques, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
  • Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop Field Managers and installation crews.
