About the Role:
The Bilingual Mandarin Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and facilitating projects that require seamless communication between English and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. This position ensures that project objectives are met on time and within scope by coordinating resources, schedules, and deliverables across diverse teams. The coordinator acts as a cultural and linguistic bridge, translating complex information and fostering clear understanding among all parties involved. By maintaining detailed documentation and tracking project progress, the role supports effective decision-making and risk management. Ultimately, this position contributes to the successful execution of projects that span international and multicultural environments, enhancing collaboration and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project activities, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery of project goals.
- Serve as the primary liaison between English-speaking and Mandarin-speaking teams, facilitating clear and accurate communication.
- Translate and interpret project documents, communications, and meetings to support bilingual collaboration.
- Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and escalate issues or risks to project leadership as needed.
- Organize and schedule meetings, workshops, and presentations involving cross-cultural stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, and correspondence.
- Support the development and implementation of project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Assist in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges that arise during project execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Fluency in both Mandarin and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Proven experience in project coordination or management, preferably in a bilingual or multicultural environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or equivalent.
- Experience working in international business or cross-cultural teams.
- Familiarity with industry-specific terminology relevant to the projects being managed.
- Knowledge of additional languages or regional dialects related to Mandarin-speaking markets.
- Experience with remote collaboration tools and virtual meeting platforms.
The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break each day. Please note that this schedule is flexible and may be subject to change based on the employee and employer’s needs.
