About the role
Global Film & TV Admin Temp
We are hiring a Global Film & TV Admin Temp to support a Film & TV department focused on music cue sheets, copyright information, and music publishing data. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in learning more about the music business, film/TV copyright, and publishing operations.
This role is entry-level friendly, but strong data entry experience and Excel skills are important. A music business background is a plus, but not required.
Schedule:
Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday-Friday work from home
Start time may be between 7:30am-9:30am, with 8-hour workdays and a 1-hour lunch
Occasional flexibility may be available as long as communication with the team is strong
About the Team:
This role will support the Global Film & TV team, which focuses on processing and managing music cue sheets for film and television. Cue sheets include key information such as songs used, ownership, writers, timing, and other details needed to identify what is controlled by UMG.
The team is made up of approximately 10 people, including leadership, coordinators, team leads, and long-term temps. This person will work closely with coordinators and team leads who will provide training and guidance.
What Youll Be Doing:
In this role, you will collect, review, and enter information from music cue sheets into internal systems. You will help identify Universal Music publishing information, review songs listed on cue sheet documents, and ensure the correct data is captured so registrations and payment allocations can be processed accurately.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Reviewing and processing music cue sheets for film and television
- Entering copyright and publishing information into company databases
- Identifying songs, writers, ownership details, and usage information
- Standardizing and reporting cue sheet data
- Working closely with coordinators and team leads during training
- Flagging issues or missing information to management for support
- Maintaining accuracy while working through detailed data
- Supporting other related tasks as assigned

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Skills:
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas
- Music business, publishing, copyright, or entertainment industry experience
- Light Adobe experience
Important Interview Note:
Candidates should be aware that the second interview includes an in-person Excel test. Strong Excel skills are important for success in this role.
