LHH is assisting a top national law firm in its search for an experienced Intellectual Property Paralegal to join its growing IP practice in Scottsdale. This role supports a sophisticated intellectual property team handling patent, trademark, and copyright matters across domestic and international portfolios.

This paralegal will partner closely with attorneys and clients on day-to-day IP prosecution and maintenance work, contributing to the efficient management of complex IP assets and filings.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct preliminary patent, trademark, and copyright searches, as well as due diligence investigations
  • Support patent and trademark prosecution, including preparing and electronically filing documents with the USPTO and under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT)
  • Manage maintenance fee payments for issued U.S. patents and foreign patent applications
  • Assist with cost estimates for IP prosecution and maintenance
  • Perform legal research related to intellectual property matters
  • Collaborate with attorneys and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness across filings and deadlines
  • Utilize e-discovery tools and systems to support IP-related matters

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary range: $87,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experience

Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate required
  • At least 5 years of experience in intellectual property law, ideally within a law firm setting
  • Experience with USPTO and PCT filings
  • Familiarity with e-discovery software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
