Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking dedicated and qualified Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year in Nottoway, VA. These full-time positions offer the opportunity to support students in co-taught classroom settings while fostering academic, social, and behavioral growth in a collaborative educational environment.
This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students achieve their educational goals while working alongside supportive school teams and families.
Work Schedule:
- Full-Time
- 37.5 Hours per Week
- August 19, 2026 – June 4, 2027
- Onsite
Qualifications:
- Active Special Education License/Certification required
- Previous experience working in co-taught or inclusive classroom settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Commitment to creating a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals and educational needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional skill development
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
Caseload:
- 2 Openings Available
- Co-Taught Elementary Classroom (Grades 3–4)
- Co-Taught Middle School Classroom (Grades 7–8)
- Caseloads Expected to Be Fewer Than 10 Students
