Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) for the 2026–2027 school year in Nevada City, CA. This part-time position offers the opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative educational environment while fostering academic, social, behavioral, and functional growth.
This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students achieve their educational goals while working alongside supportive school teams and families.
Work Schedule:
- Part-Time
- 3 Days per Week
- August 19, 2026 – June 10, 2027
- Onsite
Qualifications:
- Active California Special Education Credential required
- Mild/Moderate Authorization required
- Current California credentials must be in good standing
- Previous special education experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Commitment to creating a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals and educational needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional skill development
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
Caseload:
- TK–8th Grade
- 9 Students
