What does a Production Carpenter do at Blackdog?

Production Carpenters at Blackdog are an integral part of building our award-winning projects. They utilize their skills and knowledge, under the direction of one of our talented Lead Carpenters, to perform all tasks involved in residential remodeling. While not all skills listed below are required, it is expected that our Production Carpenters will continue to add to their current skillset while progressing through Blackdog's 5-tiered “Ladder of Success”.

The desired skillset of a Production Carpenter include:

Interior and Exterior Trimwork
Cabinet Installation
Framing
Demolition
Siding and Roofing
Blueprint Reading
Door and Window Installation
Drywall
Handyman Work

In a Production Carpenter position you would be required to:

Own your own basic set of carpentry tools to complete a variety of tasks
Have a positive attitude and a good work ethic
Be comfortable working on ladders and roofs
Work both indoors and out… in a mix of New England weather conditions
Have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
Successfully pass a background check
Listen well, take instruction and work independently when needed

For the right Production Carpenter candidate, we offer:

A competitive starting wage ranging from $17.00 - $25.00/hour (based on experience)
