Coining Press Operator I
2nd Shift; 2:30pm-1:00am Tu-F OR 2:30pm-11pm M - F
Hourly rate $18.50 - $23.00/hour DOE plus 10% shift differential
Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays as needed

RESPONSIBILITY:
- Sets up and operates press to coin metal.
JOB DUTIES:
- Installs and aligns dies in press according to specifications.
- Use a fork truck to move gondolas from storage racks to the press.
- Loads machines nests and/or bowl feeder, adjust ram stroke to specified length.
- Positions work piece against fixtures or stops on machine bed or on die.
- Performs preventative maintenance on press.
- Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjusts machine to correct errors.
- Maintains overall machine cleanliness (wipe down excessive oil, chips, etc.).
- Wash pans, as needed, to keep the process running.
EDUCATION / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Strong math & mechanical aptitude.
- Accuracy & knowledge of machine functions.
- Ability to read calipers, micrometers, and height gages.
- Ability to understand & carry out routine written & oral instructions & to work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to learn & perform repetitive tasks quickly.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Given proper instruction, ability to work with hands & to work in mechanically oriented situations.
- Given proper instruction, ability to operate fork truck.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to regularly stand, move and/or lift up to 20 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
