Certified Medical Assistant

Job Title: Medical Assistant (MA)
Location: Howell, MI

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support a busy Family Medicine practice. The Medical Assistant will assist providers with patient care, clinical procedures, and administrative duties while ensuring a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities:
• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
• Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinical supplies
• Administer injections, medications, and treatments as directed
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing as needed
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-up care
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families

Required Qualifications:
• Medical Assistant (MA) Certification
• Current BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
• Experience in a Family Medicine, Primary Care, or Ambulatory Care setting preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
