Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician to support the ongoing operation, safety, and upkeep of our facility. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and general repairs across building systems and equipment, ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, and facility systems
  • Maintain and service HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and water systems
  • Assist with building management system monitoring and facility repairs as directed
  • Conduct facility inspections and report any issues that may impact operations
  • Complete carpentry work, painting, furniture assembly, and general upkeep tasks
  • Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies during the shift
  • Prepare reports on facility conditions and recommend corrective actions
  • Interpret equipment manuals and blueprints; assist with sourcing spare parts and using ERN systems
  • Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and company security policies
  • Ensure the facility and grounds are clean, organized, and free of debris
  • Support after-hours building needs as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–4 years of building or facility maintenance experience (or equivalent demonstrated skills)
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems required; plumbing experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with general instruction


Skills & Knowledge

  • Basic math skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and measurements
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical instructions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer use
  • Ability to read and write basic correspondence and maintenance documentation
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in standardized situations


Work Environment & Expectations

  • Overnight (3rd shift) schedule with occasional emergency response requirements
  • Hands-on work involving tools, equipment, and various building systems
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment


Benefits

  • Health care insurance benefits available first of the month following 60 days of employment. Thirty (30) hours worked per week must be averaged in order to maintain coverage. 401k enrollment is available per the Secure Act guidelines. Earned Sick and Safe time is accrued and can be used per the State of MN guidelines.
