Meat Clerk

The Part Time Meat Clerk role is based in a family owned and operated supermarket, focused on maintaining meat department sanitation and presentation. This position will also involve stocking, rotation and waiting on customers as needed at the service counter. Shifts are closing shifts ending by 8pm and require weekends. While prior meat cutting is not necessary, the position requires the ability to work independently and multitask throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Stock meat products and maintain product rotation
• Provide customer service at our meat counter
• Clean and maintain the meat department area
• Merchandise products to maximize appeal
• Unload trucks and organize deliveries as needed
• Prepare sausage and brats
• Work as a team and communicate well in a medium sized department

• Entry-level experience in retail or grocery environments
• Customer service skills
• Knowledge of food safety standards
• Strong attention to detail
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to maintain high standard of cleanliness in the Meat Department
