Total Compensation: Competitive Base Salary ($110k-$120k)
Schedule: Monday-Friday
No Call | No Weekends | No Holidays!!
We are seeking an experienced Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Specialist to support advanced spine and orthopedic surgical procedures across multiple hospital locations in New York and New Jersey.
This role offers the opportunity to work directly alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating room teams while providing critical neurophysiological monitoring that helps protect patient safety during complex surgical interventions.
What You'll Do
- Perform real-time neurophysiological monitoring during spine and orthopedic surgeries.
- Monitor and interpret EEG, EMG, SSEP, TcMEP, and other evoked potential modalities throughout surgical procedures.
- Recognize significant neurophysiologic changes and communicate findings promptly to the surgical team.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, signal disruptions, and recording artifacts to ensure accurate data collection.
- Prepare monitoring equipment and verify system functionality prior to each procedure.
- Place recording and stimulation electrodes according to established protocols.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation for all monitored cases.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and operating room personnel to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Travel between designated surgical facilities as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program or equivalent clinical experience in intraoperative neuromonitoring.
- Eligibility for New York and New Jersey licensure where applicable.
- Strong knowledge of neurophysiology, surgical workflows, and monitoring techniques.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- CNIM (Certified in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring) certification preferred.
- Prior experience supporting spine surgery, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, or related specialties.
- Experience utilizing multimodal neuromonitoring techniques.
