Medical Receptionist

The Medical Receptionist will be the primary point of contact in a private practice setting, managing all administrative and patient-facing tasks independently. This role demands excellent communication skills, high patient interaction, and proficiency with office and medical software to ensure smooth scheduling, record keeping, and the Ability to multitask

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments accurately using scheduling software
• Schedule patient procedures
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally
• Manage and maintain medical records with attention to detail
• Perform data entry and update patient information regularly
• Verify insurance coverage and process relevant documentation
• Coordinate appointments to optimize patient flow and provider availability
• Provide excellent customer support, ensuring a positive patient experience
• Communicate effectively between patients, medical staff, and insurance providers

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR), especially eClinicalWorks
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience with appointment scheduling software
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
