- Schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex laboratory testing across multiple disciplines, including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, urinalysis, coagulation, and serology
- Analyze, verify, and report laboratory results, including critical values
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing as needed
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Complete and document quality control, calibrations, maintenance, and corrective actions
- Prioritize workflow and testing needs independently during weekend night coverage
- Communicate effectively with providers, nursing staff, and clinical teams
- Support urgent and emergent testing needs while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
Requirements:
- Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field with completed clinical training
- Minimum 5 years of recent hospital laboratory experience
- Strong recent laboratory generalist experience required
- Previous travel assignment experience required
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- New graduates will not be considered
- Previous independent night shift experience required
- Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital or rural hospital environment strongly preferred
- Recent hands-on experience with QuidelOrtho Vitros 7600 and/or Vitros 5600 required
- Vitros 7600 experience strongly preferred
- Cerner EMR experience required
Certifications:
- ASCP MLS/MT or AMT certification required
- Current BLS certification required
Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent prioritization and time-management abilities
- Experience performing quality control, maintenance, and instrumentation troubleshooting
- Comfortable serving as the primary laboratory resource during weekend night shifts
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
