About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with United Health Care Staffing to find a qualified Sterile Processing Tech in Mishawaka, Indiana, 46544!

Job Responsibilities

• Decontamination: Disassemble, sort, clean, and decontaminate soiled surgical instrumentation and medical devices according to manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs) and safety standards.

• Assembly & Inspection: Meticulously inspect instruments for cleanliness, sharpness, and proper functionality; assemble surgical trays, lines, and instrument packs utilizing internal tracking systems.

• Sterilization & Logging: Safely load and operate steam autoclaves and low-temperature sterilizers. Accurately verify, interpret, and log chemical and biological indicators.

• Case Cart Preparation: Build accurate surgical case carts matching preference sheets to ensure evening and emergency on-call OR teams have all required sterile supplies.

Requirements

Job Requirements

• Certification: Active national certification required (CRCST through HSPA or CSPDT through CBSPD).

• Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of recent, high-volume inpatient hospital sterile processing experience.

• Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of infection control guidelines, ANSI/AAMI standards, and medical terminology.

• Life Support: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
